By the following year, the second album, Camembert Electrique, featured the more psychedelic rock/space rock sound with which they would be most associated. Between 1973 and 1974, Gong released their best known work, the allegorical Radio Gnome Invisible trilogy, describing the adventures of Zero the Hero, the Good. 1 Flying Teapot: Radio Gnome Invisible, Part 1 (1973). 2 Angel's Egg: Radio Gnome Invisible, Part 2 (1973). 3 You: Radio Gnome Invisible, Part 3 (1974). 4 Continuations (1992–2009). Influence on other artists.

A gong (Javanese: gong) is an East and South East Asian musical percussion instrument that takes the form of a flat metal disc which is hit with a mallet.

Reviews about Gong - Live! At Sheffield 1974 (1):
Naril
This must be a recording of the band's gig at City Hall, Sheffield, 8th October 1973, because it contains material that Daevid Allen included on the Greasy Truckers album, which he edited on 26th October 1973, according to the gig history at Planet Gong: http://www.planetgong.co.uk/gas/gigs/1973.shtmlAlso confirmed here: http://wapedia.mobi/en/Greasy_Truckers_Live_at_Dingwalls_Dance_HallNor are the tracks featured here consistent with a Gong gig from 1974, which would always feature much more material from the two later parts of the Radio Gnome Invisible trilogy; Angels Egg & You.
