The designation NEW in the matrix number ordinarily indicates that an album that originally had been issued with a particular catalog number was being reissued with the same catalog number but with a NEW track list. In this particular case, however, the track list on the UT (NEW)-127 labels, according to the initial submitter, is not a new track list.

Notes from submission for UT 127: "There is an interesting anomaly in this release. The Matrix/Runouts of the discs apparently contain two matrix numbers: CS 81 and UTS-127. The second number corresponds to the catalog number printed on the sleeve of this Celebrity release. The first number, however, is the catalog number of an album released by Coronet Records that has the same track list as the Celebrity release. In itself, there is nothing unusual about that. Both Coronet and Celebrity are labels of Premier Albums, Inc. and both labels released many of the same albums, often using the same master stampers. What is unusual, however, is that the matrix number printed on the labels is reported to be UTS 127, not UT-127 as would be expected. The designation “NEW” in the matrix number ordinarily indicates that an album that originally had been issued with a particular catalog number was being reissued with the same catalog number but with a “NEW” track list. In this particular case, however, the track list on the UT (NEW)-127 labels, according to the initial submitter, is not a new track list. It is the old track list found on the Coronet CX 81 and the Celebrity UT-127 releases. If the information submitted is correct, then this would mean that a matrix number intended to be used with a new track list was used instead with an old track list. That would be most unusual, to say the least. Unfortunately, the original submitter did not include images of the labels, so there is no way to determine what the facts of the matter really are."
