Love Bites is the second studio album by English punk rock band Buzzcocks. It was released on 22 September 1978, through United Artists Records. It peaked at number 13 on the UK Albums Chart at the time of its release. Love Bites was recorded and mixed by Buzzcocks with producer Martin Rushent over a two-and-a-half-week period, less than six months after the release of début album Another Music in a Different Kitchen.
Set in the late 1800s, 'The Big Valley' follows the Barkley family's Wild West adventures. Stern widow Victoria Barkley (Barbara Stanwyck) and her family brave bandits, horse thieves and land grabbers on their ranch in California's San Joaquin Valley. Linda Evans plays the only daughter, Audra, a bold tomboy who is able to look out for herself.
A radical in his poetry as well as in his political and social views, Shelley did not see fame during his lifetime, but recognition of his achievements in poetry grew steadily following his death.

The Barkley ranch was located in the San Joaquin Valley in California. CBS was airing "Green Acres" and "The Dick Van Dyke Show". The exterior of the Barkley's home on The Big Valley was also used as the Wilkes' Plantation exterior in the movie "Gone With The Wind".
