Maneige - Composite mp3 album
Maneige was a Canadian progressive rock and fusion jazz band from Quebec. The instrumental ensemble was one of the Quebec progressive rock scene's longest-running bands, performing regularly for several decades. Maneige was founded in 1972 by Alain Bergeron and Jérôme Langlois. Bergeron played flute and saxophone, while Langlois was a keyboardist. They were joined by the drummer Gilles Schetagne, percussionist Paul Picard and bassist Yves Leonard, to form the initial quintet

For many reasons, Composite represents the end of Maneige's golden age. It is the last one to feature the classic lineup, since drummer Gilles Schetagne called it quits after the release of this live album. It is also the group's last LP on a major record label (in this case Polydor, like their two previous efforts). But at the time the concerts took place, in the spring and summer of 1979, the musicians were unaware of what the future held for them.
Luckily since then, there have been three records of early Maneige released, because from this album, we would not be able to see just how excellent a live band they were. Not that this album is bad, far from it, but it might just.
