Cause every time you hurt me, the less that I cry And every time you leave me, the quicker these tears dry And every time you walk out, the less I love you Baby we don’t stand a chance, it’s sad but it’s true I’m way too good at goodbyes.
Great Rock Classics of Our Time is an album by Rod Stewart, released on 10 October 2006. After four years singing pop standards from the Great American Songbook with great success, this album continues the notion of singing old material, but now in his classic musical genre – rock.
A String of Pearls" is a 1941 song recorded by Glenn Miller and His Orchestra on RCA Bluebird, composed by Jerry Gray with lyrics by Eddie DeLange. The song is a big band and jazz standard. It was released as an RCA Bluebird 78 single, B-11382-B, backed with "Day Dreaming", in 1941 by Glenn Miller and His Orchestra.
Still, the concept was a good one so the record sold and spawned a sequel, As Time Goes By: The Great American Songbook, Vol. 2. Released a year later, nearly to the day, As Time Goes By is basically the same album as It Had to Be You, relying on a similar song selection of well-worn warhorses and adhering to the same. Stewart's delivery is lazy and unfocused; his asides and offhand turns of phrase work wonders on rock, pop, and soul, where it's more about being in the moment than being in the song, but on finely crafted songs like these, precision is needed and Stewart's delivery makes it seem like he just doesn't have his heart in it.
But still I don't know how it happened I don't know who's to blame I don't know how I hurt you but I hurt you just the same And eventhough you say we're through I still feel the same about you. Somebody must have told you the story that you've heard that I had found another love but don't believe a word And though you brake my heart in two I still feel the same about you. There's two sides to every story as different as night and day There's two sides to every story please hear what I have to say. No matter what has happened no matter who's t. .
Lyrics to "To Build A Home" song by The Cinematic Orchestra: There is a house built out of stone Wooden floors, walls and window sills Tables and chairs worn b.To Build A Home" lyrics provided for educational purposes and personal use only.
He was at a time where his health was failing, and I tried to pick songs that made sense lyrically for the way his voice was sounding. There were times when his voice sounded broken. He tried to turn that into a positive in the selection of the music. He was awfully troubled by the way his voice was sounding. A lot of times during the process, he would be down on himself. He could always rely on his voice, and at this stage he couldn’t. Most people know that it was originally a Nine Inch Nails song (excellent in its own right), but exactly how the cover and its iconic music video were put together only adds to its resonance. When asked if Cash could take on the song, NIN’s Trent Reznor at first said he was flattered, but worried that the idea sounded a bit gimmicky (his opinion would massively change, but we’ll get to that).
I feel poisoned, I feel like I’m gonna die, I don’t even know, Why the fuck I think I am alive, I’m a piece of fucking shit, & I can tell, So I don’t try, I don’t care about this praying, Cause I won’t live in the sky, I’m a muthafuckin demon, I can hear them angels. inside of shade, Laughing at me because I could never be the same, Ain’t nobody laughing no more, Cause they all just feel my pain, Ugh, Where my dad at, Where my mom at, Where my family, You know they never call back, You always say that I can talk to you about my problems, When I try to tell you shit
