The Gilmour Players - The Genius Of Lennon & McCartney mp3 album
Isn’t just listing John and Paul enough? The same problem exists with the Rolling Stones, with The Glimmer Twins and Mick Jagger and Keith Richards as songwriters.
Lennon–McCartney (sometimes McCartney–Lennon) was the songwriting partnership between English musicians John Lennon (9 October 1940 – 8 December 1980) and Paul McCartney (born 18 June 1942) of the Beatles. It is one of the best known and is the most successful musical collaboration ever by records sold, with the Beatles selling over 600 million records worldwide as of 2004.

The John Lennon - Paul McCartney Feud. People said, 'It's a pity that such a nice thing had to come to such a sticky end. I think that too. It is a pity. Paul notified what remained of Apple that he wanted his solo album, McCartney, to be released in early April. Klein said no because "Let It Be " and Ringo’s solo album "Sentimental Journey " were being released at the same time. Paul then appealed directly to Sir Joseph Lockwood who said Paul had to accept the majority decision. Although Lennon and McCartney were reconciled in the 70s, any hopes of a musical reunion were scuppered after Yoko began intercepting Paul's calls. It's long been a strand of Beatles folklore that Paul rang Yoko in January 1980, just before a tour of Japan, and mentioned that he had some particularly potent marijuana.
Lennon and McCartney started writing songs together in the late 1950s and by 1963 were prolific composers who wrote songs for the Beatles and also for other artists. Lennon–McCartney songs that the Beatles deemed unsuitable for the group at the outset and did not even attempt to record themselves. Songs that had been intentionally written for other artists. In the earliest days of their songwriting partnership, Lennon and McCartney expressed a desire to emulate the success of composing duos such as Goffin & King and Leiber & Stoller in having their compositions recorded by other artists, so this was an aspect of the songwriting craft that they were interested in pursuing.
