Bob Dylan - Renaldo & Clara mp3 album
Renaldo and Clara is a 1978 American film directed by Bob Dylan and starring Bob Dylan, Sara Dylan, and Joan Baez. Written by Dylan and Sam Shepard, the film incorporates three distinct film genres: concert footage, documentary interviews, and dramatic fictional vignettes reflective of Dylan's song lyrics and life.
Woman in White Ronnie Hawkins. Bob Dylan Jack Elliott. Longheno de Castro Harry Dean Stanton. Lafkezio Bob Neuwirth. The Masked Tortilla Allen Ginsberg. The Father David Mansfield. The Son Helena Kallianiotes. Herself Rubin 'Hurricane' Carter. Himself T-Bone Burnett.
Bob Dylan is shown in concert, often masked, during the Rolling Thunder Revue. The film also features documentary footage, including Ruben Hurricane Carter’s struggle against the forces that have imprisoned him. The third element is fictional role-playing footage with Bob Dylan in the guise of guitar-strumming Renaldo and his wife Sara as his companion Clara. Ronnie Hawkins takes on the role of Bob Dylan in these sequences

Bob Dylan’s film Renaldo And Clara was released January 25, 1978. This nearly four-hour surrealist odyssey (232 . is written, directed and starring Bob Dylan himself. Drawing structural and thematic influences from the classic film Les Enfants du Paradis, Dylan infuses Renaldo and Clara with lots of shifting styles, tones, and narrative ideas. Similarities between the two films include the use of whiteface, the recurring flower, the woman in white (Baez), the on-stage and backstage scenes, and the dialogue of both films’ climactic scenes.
THERE'S an insolence about "Renaldo and Clara," the four-hour film written and directed by Bob Dylan and featuring members of his Rolling Thunder Revue, that is not easily ignored. Mr. Dylan, who has a way of insinuating that any viewer who doesn't grasp the full richness of his work must be intellectually deficient or guilty of some failure of nerve, has seen fit to produce a film that no one is likely to find altogether comprehensible. But his best work, like the "Blood on the Tracks" album released a couple of years ago, has derived its momentum from alternating currents of passion and restraint, from conflicting impulses to repress and to reveal. Renaldo and Clara" addresses this apparent contradiction so passively, even cold-bloodedly, that it seldom has the urgency it needs.
Renaldo and Clara, though an artistic failure in several ways, captures the heat of an artist in a creative frenzy. It probably also captures something about the 1970s as a whole. My old friends at the once-thriving re. usic. dylan Usenet newsgroup may also remember that I once posted an extensive synopsis of the film there (this was one of the very first things I wrote online). Through maintaining this piece over the years, I've been made aware of how many hard-core or amateur Dylanologists around the world have been eagerly awaiting this film. You wouldn't expect Martin Scorsese to record an album of himself singing songs that he wrote and for it to be good. Same situation here IMHO. Bob Dylan and his traveling band delivers a powerful performance at Constitution Hall in Washington DC on November 25, 2014.
