Frank Zappa Gets His Shit Together. Live in Schьttdorf Pappa Zappa & Any Way the Wind Blows. The cover has a black & white picture of Zappa playing guitar on stage, with red lettering on the left and right. Good Evening, Vienna! (3 LP) Zappa Trice Kurhalle, Vienna, 13-Feb-1976, second show. Bonus tracks from Ludwigshafen two days later.

Frank Zappa in Paris, early 1970s. In 1970 Zappa met conductor Zubin Mehta. They arranged a May 1970 concert where Mehta conducted the Los Angeles Philharmonic augmented by a rock band. The albums focus exclusively on Frank Zappa as a guitar soloist, and the tracks are predominantly live recordings from 1979 to 1980; they highlight Zappa's improvisational skills with "beautiful performances from the backing group as well". Another guitar-only album, Guitar, was released in 1988, and a third, Trance-Fusion, which Zappa completed shortly before his death, was released in 2006.

Recorded Live in Paris in 1980, this is a rare recording of Frank Zappa performing at the peak of his career with his incredible backing band, including Ike Willis (guitar/vocals), Ray White (guitar/vocals), Tommy Mars (keys), Arthur Barrow (bass) and David Logeman (drums). It was the year after Zappa released two of his greatest albums - Sheik Yerbouti, and the masterpiece Joe's Garage - and this cracking live show includes the classic Zappa songs Joe's Garage, Dancing Fool, Bobby Brown and The Illinois Enema Bandit. We don't have any crew added to this movie.

Notes

"Frank Zappa is revered as modern music's greatest innovator, an iconoclast who destroyed music convention with genre-busting funk/blues/ psychedelic/heavy rock arrangements, and incredible live stage shows. As a solo performer, and with his groundbreaking band The Mothers of Invention, Zappa recorded 60 albums and collaborated with Captain Beefheart and the London Symphony Orchestra. Rock and roll's sharpest musical mind and most astute social critic, he was the most prolific composer of his age.
