Ringo Starr And His All-Starr Band - Ringo Starr And His All-Starr Band Tour 2003 mp3 album

Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band is a English–American live rock supergroup with shifting personnel, led by former Beatles drummer and vocalist Ringo Starr. Since 1989, Starr has toured with fourteen variations of the band, where "everybody on stage is a star in their own right. Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band is a concept that was created by producer David Fishof.

Ringo gives his revolving door All-Starr band another go in 2003. Percussionist Sheila E. (returning from the 2001 band), bassist John Waite (the Babys), Paul Carrack, and ex-Men at Work guitarist Colin Hay are the best Ringo could muster up this time. Memphis in Your Mind," from his 2003 Ringorama album, gets a live workup, but it's not a particularly good song - especially with its pedestrian lyrics - and the leaden band doesn't naturally adapt to the rockin' Chuck Berry beat. The sidemen (and woman) play their hits with a modicum of enthusiasm, but in general this has a rather tired and almost depressing by-the-numbers quality that even the jovial Ringo can't quite squash.

In 1989 Ringo assembled his first All Starr Band and he found consistent success as a live act with his revolving All Starrs. I got asked if I’d be interested in putting a band together, Ringo would later recount. I had been thinking the same thing, and so I went through my phone book, rang up a few friends and asked them if they’d like to have fun in the summer. The tour met with great success, yielding his first live album, Ringo and His All Starr Band, in 1990. I’ve said this over and over again, Ringo remarked, but I love being in a band. In 2003, The Roundheads launched the release of Ringo Rama with another impromptu Bottom Line performance. 2003’s 8th group of All Starrs - Paul Carrack, Sheila . Colin Hay, Mark Rivera and John Waite - hit the road, their tour resulting in another live album, Ringo Starr and His All Star Band: Tour 2003 and DVD.

The All Starr Band has toured consistently since its inception in 1989. Based on the concept everybody on stage is a star in their own right, each concert sees Ringo performing songs from his solo and Beatles’ career and each Starr performing hits from their own careers. Over the years the revolving line up has included such stellar artists as Joe Walsh, Dr. John, Todd Rundgren, Timothy B. Schmidt, John Entwhistle, Peter Frampton, Sheila . Rod Argent and Paul Carrack

Fronting his eighth All-Starr Band, the cheerful singer and drummer brought new direction to a concept that’s served him well since 1989. Filmed live at Casino Rama in Toronto, Canada - All Starr 2003 members are John Waite (The Babys, Bad English), Colin Hay (Men at Work), Paul Carrack (Squeeze, Mike & The Mechanics), Sheila E. (Prince), Mark Rivera (Billy Joel. During this summer 2003 tour, Ringo Starr allowed a cameraman to follow him and the All-Starrs throughout the course of their travels for the first time ever!
