Bashung - Osez Joséphine mp3 album
Osez Joséphine (Dare Joséphine) is the eighth studio album by French rocker Alain Bashung, issued in 1991 on Barclay Records. Rolling Stone magazine considered it the greatest French album of all time. The singles "Osez Joséphine", "Volutes" and "Madame rêve" ("Madame dreams") were successful, as was the album which peaked at 14th on the French charts. With this album, Bashung broke into the mainstream. The album sold 300,000 albums rather quickly for a French album at the time.
Released in 1991, Osez Josephine is the eight studio album by the great French singer/songwriter Alain Bashung. It is chock-full of acoustic rootsy blues, country, and swampy tracks delivered in an immediate, raw manner, without much overdubbing; so little, in fact, it sounds like it was recorded live from the floor in the studio. Standout cuts include the title track, "Volutes," and a very original interpretation of the Moody Blues' "Nights in White Satin.
