The Flying Burrito Bros - Close Up The Honky Tonks mp3 album

The Flying Burrito Brothers recorded their debut album, The Gilded Palace of Sin (containing originals by Parsons, Hillman and Ethridge and covers of two songs by Dan Penn and Chips Moman), without a regular drummer. The new lineup released The Flying Burrito Bros in June 1971. This newfound popularity led to the release of Close Up the Honky Tonks in 1974, a double-LP compilation of album tracks, B-sides, and outtakes. Soon after, Kleinow and Ethridge put together a new incarnation of the band.

The Flying Burrito Bros is the third album by the country rock group, The Flying Burrito Brothers, released in the spring of 1971. Before recording sessions for the album began, Chris Hillman fired Gram Parsons from the band, leaving Hillman and "Sneaky" Pete Kleinow as the only original continuing members. In Parsons' place, the band hired a young unknown musician named Rick Roberts, who later was the primary lead singer of Firefall

any more Close up the honky tonks, throw away the key Then maybe the one I love will come back to me I wish I had the power to turn back the time And live again the hours when she was all mine 'Cause it hurts to see her running with that crowd downtown But as long as there's a honky tonk. she'll never settle down So close up the honky tonks, lock all the doors Don't let the one I love go there any more Close up the honky tonks, throw away the key Then maybe the one I love will come back to me Then maybe the one I love will come back to me. More on Genius.

Hot Burritos! The Flying Burrito Bros. Only 13 left in stock (more on the way). 13. Close Up the Honky Tonks. 14. Sing Me Back Home. It contains everything you need to know about the 1st and 2nd albums, then a side of Gram Parsons-era outtakes, and a side of Rick Roberts-era outtakes. Sadly, there's nothing from the self-titled 3rd album on this compilation, but the Rick Roberts-era outtakes make up for that.
