JK Flesh - Posthuman mp3 album
Rise Above is the second studio album by JK Flesh, a moniker of English musician Justin Broadrick, and was released digitally and on vinyl on 3 June 2016 through the label Electric Deluxe under the designation EDLX. It is Broadrick's fourth release under the JK Flesh title and continues the sparse, drum and bass style of Nothing Is Free, the EP released a year earlier.
JK Flesh is a moniker of English musician Justin Broadrick employed for his solo work within "heavy" or "brutal" electronica music. Broadrick's usage of the title spans back to his work in the 1990s with Kevin Martin in Techno Animal, but he first released a solo studio album as JK Flesh in 2012. Unlike Broadrick's most well-known projects, Godflesh and Jesu, his work as JK Flesh is electronic and (apart from Posthuman) lacks metal riffs

Album: Posthuman Deluxe, 2017. The first full-length album from Justin K Broadrick's JK Flesh project, released in 2012 on 3by3 Records and Daymare Recordings in Japan as an expanded double disc version featuring five additional tracks. This remains the most guitar-focused of Broadrick's JK Flesh releases, with him having said that they were never intended to be a long-term part of the project.

Fortunately, Posthuman slowly reveals itself to be more subtle than that. As is the case with Broadrick and Kevin Martin's work as Techno Animal, what's often glossed as the 'brutality' of the music isn't an end in itself. Occasional Techno Animal collaborators Dälek provide a salient point of comparison here. Like the New Jersey hip-hop duo, JK Flesh employs noise to tease out the hidden character of rhythms, exploring and perhaps extending their emotional range. Broadrick's vision for the album was a Britain of 'alleys and shadows and cut-throats', and the horror of this is exacerbated by the way that rock's offer of hedonistic release keeps getting rescinded.
