Jennifer Warnes, - The Well mp3 album
The Well (Jennifer Warnes album). The Well is the eighth studio album by Jennifer Warnes. It was released in 2001, Warnes' first album in nine years. It includes her own compositions and covers renowned songwriters Arlo Guthrie, Billy Joel, Allen Toussaint and Tom Waits.
She also wowed critics and fans alike with Famous Blue Raincoat, her album of Leonard Cohen songs. In all, she's sold over 35 million records worldwide, but she's hardly a household name. Warnes has returned to the recording scene for the first time since 1992 with The Well, a collection ten songs co-produced with Martin Davich. And what a collection it is. As a singer and a songwriter, Warnes knows her strengths well. She understates lyrics and musical phrases as a way of getting them to open up on their own through her gorgeously wrought singing.
Jennifer's interpretive prowess is given a full workout on brilliant covers of "Invitation To the Blues" and "And So It Goes," as well as the shimmering beauty of the title track and "Patriot's Dream. A delight for the ears and soul. All-tube mastering by Bernie Grundman specifically for 45-RPM release. Custom wood box with updated art and individually numbered plaques. Includes 12-page, large format booklet with notes, complete lyrics and new insights from Jennifer Warnes.
Jennifer is the third album by singer Jennifer Warnes, released on the Reprise Records label in 1972. It was produced by former Velvet Underground member John Cale. In The Morning" (Barry Gibb) – 2:57. Sloan" (Jim Webb) – 3:50. Empty Bottles" (John Cale) – 3:03. Sand and Foam" (Donovan Leitch) – 2:33.

Jennifer Warnes quote:):"Because of the amount of money Linda Ronstadt was making for Asylum Arista pretty much saw me as ticket. Clive Davis also assigned Val Garay to mix "Right Time of the Night" and "I'm Dreaming" and also remix Warnes' Jim Price-produced tracks: Garay had mixed the Linda Ronstadt albums Heart Like a Wheel and Prisoner in Disguise and around the time of his work on the Jennifer Warnes album was working on Ronstadt's album Hasten Down the Wind.
Jennifer Warnes has created a truly great album. The bad news is that it isn’t this one. This disc, The Well, falls somewhere between the now-classic Famous Blue Raincoat and the forgettable The Hunter, with characteristics of both. Raincoat set the bar for what Jennifer could do with great songs and great sonics. With all-Leonard Cohen material and an aural aesthetic that some engineers use as a reference, JW made us feel and live each song. Her interpretive skill and intellectual depth aren't lost in The Well
