The Trio (also released as The Jazz Trio of Hank Jones) is an album by American jazz pianist Hank Jones recorded in 1955 for the Savoy label. In 1955, most jazz pianists were immersed in the school of Bud Powell.
This is the same lineup as on Galaxy GXY-95001 introduced as "All-Star Quartet Chelsea Bridge/Mahna De Carnaval/I'm Old on/Moose The Mooche. Note: GXY-95001 was the last vinyl record in this series. The series continued with Birds and Monks, which was a CD reissue of Five Birds and a Monk with five bonus tracks.
