Metamorphosis is the third compilation album of The Rolling Stones music released by former manager Allen Klein's ABKCO Records (who usurped control of the band's Decca/London material in 1970) after the band's departure from Decca and Klein. Released in 1975, Metamorphosis centres on outtakes and alternate versions of well-known songs recorded from 1964 to 1970.

There are roughly a million Rolling Stones albums, and almost all of them have songs that will drastically improve your life. Some of them also have Angie. Where to start? Where to go after the classics? Here’s a road map of the good, the great and the Angie. Key Track: "Something Happened to Me Yesterday," an old-time music-hall ditty about an acid trip. Best Mick Moment: The slobbering lust of "My Obsession.

The Rolling Stones gave their first performance at the Marquee Club in London on July 12, 1962. At the time, the group consisted of Jagger, Richards, Jones, pianist Ian Stewart, drummer Mick Avory, and Dick Taylor, who had briefly returned to the fold. Weeks after the concert, Taylor left again and was replaced by Bill Wyman, formerly of the Cliftons. Their next album, Beggar's Banquet, was finally released in the fall, after being delayed for five months due its controversial cover art of a dirty, graffiti-laden restroom. An edgy record filled with detours into straight blues and campy country, Beggar's Banquet was hailed as a masterpiece among the fledgling rock press.

The Rolling Stones have done more to define the look, attitude and sound of rock & roll than any other band in the genre's history. It’s hard to overestimate the importance of The Rolling Stones in rock & roll history. The group, which formed in London in 1962, distilled so much of the music that had come before it and has exerted a decisive influence on so much that has come after. Only a handful of musicians in any genre achieve that stature, and the Stones stand proudly among them.

Reviews about The Rolling Stones - After-Math (2):
Anyone can tell how it's the sound of this release?
I strongly doubt this is an Israeli pressing, my guess is it's an unofficial one. I've got the same one with the same matrix numbers and on the back of the cover there is a "Swinging Dog Records" logo and the text "Collect 'em all, Made in Austria by SDR. LTD."
