Erroll Garner - Paris Impressions Vol. 1 mp3 album
The first of two volumes called Paris Impressions find Erroll Garner in a joyous, creative mood. Accompanied by bassist Eddie Calhoun and drummer Kelly Martin, the pianist begins with a lively playful take of "The Song From Moulin Rouge," followed by an inspired swinging version of Cole Porter's "I Love Paris. While none of Garner's originals on this album came close to becoming regular parts of his repertoire, they are very much in the spirit of his upbeat personality. The two tracks featuring Garner on harpsichord, his bluesy "Don't Look for Me".
