Naked Raygun is slotted in the record stores with the hardcore punk/noise bands like Big Black, Fugazi, Einsteurzende Neubaten (the old stuff), Revco, Scratch Acid, Butthole Surfers and a ton of other bands that, frankly, do nothing for me. There are two artists in that section, though, that stand out from all the noise. I can't think of another album in the world that has cover art that tells you precisely what the music on the album is going to sound like. This record blew me away in 88 and I still get pumped when I hear that first chord in "Soldier's Requiem. Kids- tell your parents you need this immediately.
