The Moody Blues - Days Of Future Passed mp3 album

Days of Future Passed is the second album and first concept album by English prog rock band The Moody Blues, released in November 1967 by Deram Records. With its fusion of orchestral and rock elements, it has been cited as one of the first examples of progressive rock. The album was recorded at a time when the Moody Blues were suffering financial difficulties and lack of critical and commercial success.

Days Of Future Passed falls in and out of favor, certainly it’s a concerted cohesive dream, yet it stumbles, where like the abstract modern paintings, the album offered few places to rest, few places where one could be assured of their footing, other than the sections encompassing Tuesday Afternoon and Nights In White Sati. hich I forever thought of as Knights in. White Satin. The mastering is faithful to the original 1967 The Moody Blues With The London Festival Orchestra Conducted By Peter Knight (5) - Days Of Future Passed that I bought new as a kid. I just played back the rip files from both and keyed on Lunch and Tuesday Afternoon. With the proper tonearm angle tweaking, I could get them to sound virtually the same.

2008 reissue of their Moody Blues first seven album releases, each with bonus content. Originally released in November 1967, Days of Future Passed was an outstanding technical achievement for its time. The record label Deram wanted to show off its new studio recording techniques by having The Moody Blues record a Dvorák symphony in this "Deramic Stereo Sound" process, which The Moodies did not want to do.

This album marked the formal debut of the psychedelic-era Moody Blues; though they'd made a pair of singles featuring new (as of 1966) members Justin Hayward and John Lodge, Days of Future Passed was a lot bolder and more ambitious.

Used Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (MFSL) Gold cd of Days of Future Passed by The Moody Blues. Condition is Very Good. Case has light wear and sticker residue Includes the hit "Nights in White Satin". What a gem for any Moody Blues collector! Album dated 1967. London Records, DES18012. The moody blues - days of future passed - vintage vinyl lp - des 18012.

Days Of Future Passed was the Moody Blues’ landmark second album and is widely considered to have formally marked the beginning of their psychedelic era. Featuring the London Festival Orchestra, this richly orchestrated album followed in the wake of The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s and Magical Mystery Tour but was in itself a unique and highly original piece of work. The album, of course, included the hits Tuesday Afternoon and the ever-enduring Nights In White Satin, thus rightfully recognising The Moody Blues as true pioneers in the development of progressive rock
