The Driftwood Manor are one of Ireland's most prolific artists in the experimental folk scene. The band is centered around singer, songwriter, and guitarist Eddie Keenan, who enlists a cast of supporting musicians that varies with each release. The album marks a return to the folk songs of the first one, though with slightly less rock/pop leanings. A final mention goes to the closing and title track, a wonderful ode to calm acceptance, where most if not all of the players on this album come together, particularly in the layered choruses of Keenan, Anne Marie Hynes, and for this one also Dave Colohan. I sincerely recommend them for anyone who is interested in alternative and experimental folk. If you thought folk music was all about lonesome roads and ships sailing an empty sea, think again. Every Light Goes Out Eventually.

The newly-formed band experimented with different sounds and ideas, recording the results in two local studios and taking each track in a different direction as the song dictated.
There Is a Light That Never Goes Out" is a song by the English rock band the Smiths, written by guitarist Johnny Marr and singer Morrissey. Featured on the band's third studio album The Queen Is Dead, it was not released as a single in the United Kingdom until 1992, five years after their split. It peaked at No. 25 on the UK Singles Chart and No. 22 on the Irish Singles Chart. The song has received considerable critical acclaim; in 2014, NME listed it as the 12th greatest song of all time.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, life moves pretty fast If you don't stop and look once in a while, you could miss i. All I ever wanted was to make you proud of me Did I study the wrong thing or did I make it too easy? For all the time spent wishing for answers I don't know where I'm going but I'll know eventually. Don't drag me home again I'll fight for my place in the rain. Remember all the evenings where we could do no wrong?
