Turnover - Good Nature mp3 album

Good Nature is the third studio album by American rock band Turnover, released on August 25, 2017, on Run for Cover Records. Good Nature was recorded with producer Will Yip, who had worked with the band on their previous album, Peripheral Vision. It is the last album by the band to feature lead guitarist Eric Soucy, who has since been released from the band due to allegations of emotional abuse

But on Turnover’s new album, Good Nature, getting on frontman Austin Getz’s level requires more than an updated vinyl collection. He turned vegan, moved with his girlfriend from Virginia Beach to California wine country, and made a record that sounds like he’d been there all along. I found my religion/When nothing was ahead of us/That week in California, Getz sighs on the starlit carousel ride Super Natural.

Good Nature is all luminous guitar jangle, hazy-headed harmonies, and otherworldly ambience, yielding effortlessly breezy dream-pop gems like Super Natural and Curiosity. But the soft-focus gauze conceals hard truths: Frontman Austin Getz sounds so blissfully chill on Sunshine Type, you might miss that its seemingly celebratory chorus ( Scream and shout/Throw your hands up ) actually chronicles a domestic dispute. Good Nature Turnover. With the last vestiges of their pop-punk past thoroughly expunged, Turnover complete their maturation into a smooth, sophisticated indie-rock band on their third album. Good Nature is all luminous guitar jangle, hazy-headed harmonies, and otherworldly ambience, yielding effortlessly breezy dream-pop gems like Super Natural and Curiosity.

Reformed Virginia Beach rockers Turnover settle even deeper into the sun-dappled guitar pop that marked their 2015 sea change from emo punks to mellow dreamers. Beyond the headline-grabbing hard-to-soft transition of Peripheral Vision, their sophomore effort, was some legitimately solid songwriting and the newfound embrace of a more nuanced approach. Having completed that transition, however, Turnover find themselves in a fairly crowded field of amiable dream pop bands whose audiences tend to be fickler than those of the . scene that birthed them.

Turnover's 2015 sophomore album Peripheral Vision changed everything for them. The Virginia Beach band (now a three-piece after guitarist Eric Soucy's public departure this year) decided to scrap the Saves The Day-channeling punk of their early output in favor of sharing musical DNA with acts like the Cure or Wild Nothing. Though emotive pop-punk bands diving into dreamier and more atmospheric territory is nothing new (see: The Sidekicks, Title Fight), Good Nature proves Turnover have really gone for it. If the songs on Peripheral Vision could be described as "wistful" and "dreamy," these new tracks practically float in lush and breezy instrumentation.

Good Nature comes from a place of calm and contentment, nurtured by looking inward. What Got in the Way4. All That It Ever Was10. Bonnie (Rhythm & Melody). Learning, he replies. This whole record is about learning.
