It has been many years since the December 1970 Sheffield gig has been in circulation, collectors know of this tape since it contains the only know live version of Alan’s Psychedelic Breakfast. When The Ultimate Breakfast (Devils Breath DB 001) came out in 2007 it was a vast upgrade over all previously circulating versions of the tape, the sound was so much improved over my much beloved Pink’s Psychedelic Last Night (Highland HL 176) that it would be called definitive. With this new release from Eat A Peach I am re thinking that statement
50 years ago in 1967 Pink Floyd released their debut album 'The Piper at the Gates of Dawn'. It's gone on to become a classic of 1960s psychedelia. Candid image of Roger Waters at Abbey Road Studios in June 1967 whilst Pink Floyd finished off recording their debut album 'The Piper at the Gates of Dawn'. In his memoir, Inside Out: A Personal History of Pink Floyd, Nick Mason recalls that the recording of it seemed relaxed. He notes that they were finishing songs in just one or two days, recording in three hour blocks in the morning, afternoon and evening. Then they’d go off and do gigs

Flaming" (formerly titled "Snowing") is a song by English rock band Pink Floyd, featured on their 1967 debut album, The Piper at the Gates of Dawn. Written and sung by Syd Barrett, the lyrics describe a childlike game with fantastical imagery (such as unicorns and buttercups), while prominent organ and driving bass guitar carry the uptempo music. After David Gilmour joined the band, the song remained in their set list for a while in 1968, even after Barrett's departure.
The cover art for Pink Floyd’s début album was, along with The Wall’s and The Final Cut’s, the only Pink Floyd cover art not to be created by Storm Thorgerson or his studio Hipgnosis. This cover was made by the photographer Vic Singh. He made this cover with a lense that George Harrison gave him. Singh was a very good friend of Pattie Boyd, who was George Harrison’s wife at the time. One day, after Vic, Pattie and George ate all together, Harrison gave Singh a lense with the special effect you can see in the photo
