John Foster Jr. was responsible for the design of St James Cemetery laid out (1827-29), he designed several buildings for the cemetery including the Lodge, the Oratory and Huskisson Monument (see the neo-classical section below for these last two) and is a Grade I Historic Park. Wavertree Botanic Gardens, originally started in the 1830s and a Grade II park has a late Georgian lodge. An improvement act in 1826 by the Corporation of Liverpool, oversaw the creation of a new street, St George's Crescent in central Liverpool and the widening Lord Street and North and South John Streets.
Stormalong John Lyrics. Oh, poor old Stormy's dead and gone Storm along boys! Storm along John! Oh, poor old Stormy's dead and gone Ah-ha, come along get along Stormy along John! I dug his grave with a silver spade Storm along boys! Storm along John! I dug his grave with a silver spade Ah-ha, come along get along Stormy along John! I lower'd him down with a golden chain Storm along boys! Storm along John!
Stormalong Harbor is the main location of the series, The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack. It is a large port city that Flapjack and his friends call home. It appears to be broken into 2 main sections, Upper Stormalong and Lower Stormalong. Upper Stormalong is home to the wealthiest citizens, and has vegetation-growing land attached to it. Lower Stormalong consists of docks, shops, and the poor. It is run by the Dock Hag. One side of Lower Stormalong is considered "The Bad Part of Town".
Stormalong - in a legend, Stormalong was said to be a sailor and a giant, some 30 ft. tall. He was the master of a huge clipper ship, purportedly so tall that it had hinged masts to avoid catching the moon, Legend says that after his death he was buried at sea and Davy Jones himself opened his famous locker to accept his body - which doesn't seem to quite fit with this version of the song.
