Ike & Tina Turner - River Deep, Mountain High mp3 album
River Deep – Mountain High is a studio album by the American R&B duo Ike & Tina Turner. It was originally released by London Records in the UK in 1966. The album was intended to be released on Phil Spector's Philles label as LP-4011 in the US, but it was shelved when the single "River Deep – Mountain High" didn't do well. Only a few copies of LP-4011 were pressed, and covers never printed, before it was canceled by Philles. However, the single was successful in England.

Considered by producer Phil Spector to be his best work, the single was successful in Europe, peaking at number 3 in the United Kingdom, and peaking at number 16 in Australia though it flopped on its original release in the United States. Spector claimed to be pleased with the response from the critics and his peers, but he then withdrew from the music industry for two years, beginning his personal decline. Ike Turner remarked that he felt the record did not do well in America because the sound was "pop or white", while Tina Turner's voice was R&B, so that "America mixes race in it" – though the writer Michael Billig speculated that although earlier records which had mixed black singers with a white pop sound had sold well, by 1966 the black.
It turned out that Spector hadn't produced a whole album's worth of material; in addition to his productions ("A Love Like Yours," "I'll Never Need More Than This," "Save the Last Dance for Me," and the title song), Ike Turner had produced a batch of typical Ike & Tina.
