Testament (2). Low (Cass, Album, Unofficial). Out of all of their back catalogue, this is the most accomplished and consistent record they did. Chuck's vocals are at their best.
Low (1994)-were also successful, with the former of the three entering the Top 100 on the Billboard 200 chart. Over the course of its career, Testament has experienced several resurgences of popularity, with their last two studio albums-Dark Roots of Earth (2012) and Brotherhood of the Snake (2016)-entering the Top 20 on the Billboard 200, and has toured. because the "Legacy" name was already trademarked by a hotel R&B cover band.
Low (álbum de Testament). Low. Legions (In Hiding)" – 4:17.
Low would be Testament's last album with Atlantic Records, leading group members to create their own label Burnt Offerings Inc. as part of the change. The record was recorded with primary band members Eric Peterson (rhythm guitar), Greg Christian (bass), and Chuck Billy (vocals). It also saw the first of two Testament album appearances by artist John Tempesta (drums), and three for artist James Murphy (guitar).
Testament did have alot of skilled and talented musicians in their career, like Paul Bostaph, Gene Hoglan, James Murphy, Steve DiGiorgio and many other members, all of them were and still are active in many successful bands. Members of Slayer, Exodus, Death, Dragonlord and many other bands has been helping this band to reach top status. Just wait when you hear this, this album is called ''Low'', an album that would sound more like a death-metal album (almost). The band has made a great mix of past versus future, they have taken their ''original'' sound and mixed it with more heavier and rawer material and the result became more heavier than their older music recipe.
Low' is the album where the band made a change in their style and embraced a much heavier direction. Opening song and title track, 'Low', kicks the album off with John Tempesta's superb drumming and James Murphy's heavy-as-hell guitar work. Its hard to pick highlights on an album this strong but I reckon the standout tracks are Low, Trail of Tears, Hail Mary, All I Could Bleed and Legions (In Hiding). This is essential listening and should be on every metalhead's playlist. In addition, Testament riffs and solos were far better and more progressive than Metallica or Slayer during their root years (in my opinion). Low is an especially good album.
