The Kinks - Rock 'N' Roll Cities mp3 album

Rock 'n' Roll Cities" is a song by the British rock group, the Kinks. The song appeared on the band's 1986 album, Think Visual, and, unlike most other Kinks songs, it was written by Dave Davies rather than his brother, Ray. The track featured former Kinks drummer Mick Avory, despite his being kicked out of the band in 1984 during the Word of Mouth sessions due to conflicts with Dave Davies.

Low Budget is the seventeenth studio album by the English rock group, The Kinks, released in 1979. Following the minor success of their 1978 album Misfits, the band recorded the majority of the album in New York rather than London. Unlike the more nostalgic themes of many Kinks albums prior to Low Budget, the album contains many songs that appeal to current events of the time.

Rock & Roll Cities. Composed by Ray Davies.

For longevity alone, the Kinks deserve a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The heart and soul of the Kinks-brothers Ray and Dave Davies-have been performing together since 1963, at which time Ray joined his younger brother’s band, the Ravens (soon renamed the Kinks). The original lineup consisted of Ray (guitar, vocals), Dave (lead guitar, vocals), Mick Avory (drums) and Pete Quaife (bass). Ray Davies is almost indisputably rock’s most literate, witty and insightful songwriter. Dave Davies, on the other hand, is renowned for his guitar playing. Though the Kinks were at the vanguard of the British Invasion during the years 1964 to 1966, they were also very much not a part of any bandwagon. To be sure, they had a stack of rocking hits from the British Invasion era: You Really Got Me, All Day and All of the Night and Tired of Waiting for You among them.
