Klaus Schulze 1979 Dune. 01. Dune (29:52) 02. Shadows of Ignorance (26:32) 03. Le Mans (23:03) (bonus track). Klaus Schulze, electronic. Guest musicians: - Wolfgang Tiepold, cello - Arthur Brown, vocals. The eleventh album (in only seven years) by Germany's prolific synth pioneer probably couldn't help leaving many fans scratching their head, arriving as it did on the heels of his monumental twin LP "X". It was, and still is, a truly schizophrenic effort: one half instrumental, and typically brilliant, and the other half a curious change of pace featuring an unlikely.

Reviews about Klaus Schulze - Dune (2):
i'm also not happy with the vocals part and like the music better, just think:the artist had the freedom to make his music like and with who he wanted in that time!we do not have to buy or like only respect the thinking part of any artist!Klaus Schulze is a great artist like many others in the electronic genre!
Klaus delivers with a fascinating single with two brilliant tracks. The haunting and ethereal quality of Dune fills one's headphones with a fascinating layered soundscape of synthesizers, in a neo-electro/quasi-classical sensation. Shadows of Ignorance, with the percolating synths and minimal electro drums builds in as the vocoder haunts the listener...Then, the poetry comes forth with the enlightening words, while more synths and some fantastic acoustic instrumentation works through the track. This music reminds me of Tangerine Dream, Rus Stewart, and Harold Budd, and all music of this sort, I have been a huge fan of as long as I can recall. This is one of my fave records in my collection, a timeless classic!
