Receptors - User EP mp3 album
The prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) receptors are G protein-coupled receptors that bind and are activated by prostaglandin E2. They are members of the prostaglandin receptors class of receptors and include the following Protein isoforms: Prostaglandin E2 receptor 1 (EP1) - PTGER1. Prostaglandin E2 receptor 2 (EP2) - PTGER2. Prostaglandin E2 receptor 3 (EP3) - PTGER3. Prostaglandin E2 receptor 4 (EP4) - PTGER4.
Receptors closed out 2009 with the release of the "USER Deluxe EP" on the world-renowned chip-music label 8bitpeoples. In 2010 Receptors released his full-length album, SLEEPER on the Handheld Heroes label. It was Receptors 3rd album performed entirely on the Nintendo DS, Korg DS-10. In 2011 Jeremy Kolosine embarked on an -instrumental compositional project intended for release in 2012.
EP receptors (EP1-4) are a diverse group of prostanoid receptors. EP1 receptors are restricted to the kidney, lung and stomach, and induce smooth muscle contraction. EP2 and EP4 couple to Gαs and induce smooth muscle relaxation. EP3 is an inhibitory receptor that prevents smooth muscle relaxation. FP receptors are coupled to Gαq. They are abundant in the corpus luteum, where they are involved in luteolysis. IP receptors are coupled to Gαs and are involved in pain mediation, relaxation of vascular smooth muscle, inhibition of platelet aggregation and they contribute to cardiovascular health.
Prostaglandin E2 receptor 2 (53kDa), also known as EP2, is a prostaglandin receptor for prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) encoded by the human gene PTGER2: it is one of four identified EP receptors, the others being EP1, EP3, and EP4, which bind with and mediate cellular responses to PGE2 and also, but with lesser affinity and responsiveness, certain other prostanoids (see Prostaglandin receptors). EP has been implicated in various physiological and pathological responses.
