Ghetto Boys - Grip It! On That Other Level mp3 album
The group's 1990 self-titled album, The Geto Boys, caused Def American Recordings, the label to which the group was signed at the time, to switch distributors from Geffen Records to Warner Bros. Records (with marketing for the album done by Warner Bros. sister label Giant Records) because of controversy over the lyrics. For its first two albums, Making Trouble (1988) and Grip It! On That Other Level (1989), the spelling was the English standard "Ghetto Boys". For their third album, The Geto Boys, they changed it to the "Geto" spelling, which the group has used since. The Geto Boys' lyrics push gangsta rap themes to extremes, and sometimes focus on murder, explicit sex, and violence.
We Can't Be Stopped is the third studio album by Geto Boys, released on July 9, 1991. It was among their most successful records in terms of units sold. The album is analysed track-by-track by Geto Boys in Brian Coleman's book Check the Technique. We Can't Be Stopped was certified Platinum in early 1992. We Can't Be Stopped took only a few weeks to record. During the recording of the album, DJ Ready Red, one of the original Geto Boys members, left the group for personal reasons.

On That Other Level is the second album by the Geto Boys. The album caused controversy because of its violent and misogynistic content. Attention increased with the release of the remixed The Geto Boys album, which saw activist groups unsuccessfully trying to ban the album. The album continued to pioneer the horrorcore hip-hop style with songs such as Mind Of A Lunatic and Trigga-Happy Nigga.
The Geto Boys created lots of controversy for their violent lyrics, rampant misogyny and wait for i. ecrophilia on Mind of a Lunatic courtesy of Bushwick Bill: Had sex with the corpse before I left her And drew my name on the wall like helter skelter. Akshen and Willie D are competent rappers and their deep, booming voices are tough to differentiate on this album, Bushwick Bill meanwhile has a higher pitched voice that is easily distinguishable. The misogyny on this album is off the charts on tracks like Gangster of Love with very graphic descriptions of their sex acts
