Hoping to remove the stigma New Jersey has garnered through certain unmentionable television programs, Thank You Scientist is a seven piece experimental rock group that features no spray tans or blowouts. The band has been captivating live audiences throughout New Jersey and New York with their "face-melting" live performances.

Sanchez says of the band, Thank You Scientist is a rare band that stretches the boundaries of the listener’s expectation. Their compositions are a tornado of complexity and style that compel the audience to stay present for every note. Following the breakout success of their debut label album, Maps Of Non-Existent Places, the band set to follow one simple but resolute goal: no expectations. Constantly writing and with an intense rehearsal schedule, the band began crafting Stranger Heads Prevail together in late 2014 under the watchful ear of guitarist/primary songwriter Tom Monda.

Thank You Scientist is a prog rock band from Montclair, NJ, signed to Evil Ink Records (owned by Claudio Sanchez from Coheed And Cambria). This is the follow up to the band's debut studio album, Maps Of Non-Existent Places, which was named 'Album Of The Week' by Revolver Magazine back in October 2014. Double LP in gatefold jacket on green vinyl, includes download card. This album was my introduction to Thank You Scientist, and I've since worked my way backwards through their albums after this amazing discovery. How to categorize them? Progressive Rock is not quite right, as it's not exactly "Rock".
