Japan - Gentlemen Take Polaroids mp3 album

Gentlemen Take Polaroids Lyrics. Now, there's a girl about town I'd like to know I'd like to slip away with you And if you said you love me, how could I mind? Is there another side to everything you do? Take in the country air, you'll never win Gentlemen take polaroids They fall in love, they fall in love Gentlemen take polaroids They fall in love, they fall in love

The last album with Rob Dean, Gentlemen Take Polaroids was also unquestionably the album in which Japan truly found its own unique voice and aesthetic approach. The glam influences still hung heavy, particularly from Roxy Music, but now the band found itself starting to affect others in turn. Even the back cover photo says as much - looking cool in glossy, elegant nightwear, the quintet had a clear impact on Duran Duran, to the point where Nick Rhodes obviously was trying to be Sylvian in appearance.

Gentlemen Take Polaroids. Released October 24, 1980. Gentlemen Take Polaroids Tracklist. 1. Gentlemen Take Polaroids Lyrics. Like Quiet Life, Gentlemen Take Polaroids is a mainly electronic album characterised by the distinctive playing of its members, particularly Sylvian and Karn, but it is much moodier than its predecessor, with much of the pop and dance factors removed. The arrangements are much more intricate and dense, and the production is a lot slicker and cleaner; for all these reasons the album has been compared to Low (1977) by David Bowie, whom Japan have cited as an influence on a number of occasions.

Gentlemen Take Polaroids is the fourth studio album by the English band Japan, released on 24 October 1980 by Virgin Records. Gentlemen Take Polaroids was the band's first album for the Virgin Records label, after leaving Hansa-Ariola who had released their first three albums. It continued in the vein of their previous album Quiet Life, drawing on its elegant Euro-disco stylings coupled with more ambitious arrangements

Gentlemen Take Polaroids" is the fourth studio album of Japan and was released in 1980. It continued in the same vein of their previous third album, "Quiet Life", using the combination of the electronic elements with the traditional musical elements. The final result was an album with a more sophisticated and atmospheric ambient than its predecessor. The album was well received by the critics and it was said if Brian Eno, rather than Bryan Ferry, had rerouted the original direction of Roxy Music, this might well have been the final result. Gentlemen Take Polaroids. I played this for a friend recently and he was shocked when I told him it was now over 30 years old - it truly sounds as if it could have just been made last year. There are a few reasons for this: the lyrics are abstract enough to not feel tied to the 80s, the production is pristine and the songs still sound good the hundredth time you hear them. Some albums I listen to repeatedly to discover new elements I may have missed
