Though this live radio broadcast was recorded several months before their debut release, Suck On This, Primus were nonetheless a full formed band, having played locally, honing their chops, around Bay Area clubs for nearly 5 years. Les Claypool and crew rolled into the studios at KZSU in Stanford, CA in May of ’89 to perform their unique blend of funk-punk-metal for the college crowd. Featuring mostly tracks from their debut but also the fantastic Sgt.

Featuring LaLonde and Alexander, Primus recorded their debut Suck on This in 1989, followed by four studio albums: Frizzle Fry, Sailing the Seas of Cheese, Pork Soda, and Tales from the Punchbowl.
