After working as a session vocalist through the 1990s with Slade, Simon Harrison, Dave Saylor and Cozy Powell (unreleased) in conjunction with his recording and touring work with Siam, the band eventually folded in 1996 and Mills spent a year fronting a Rush tribute band, YYZ. In 2000 he reunited with Shy for two more albums, 'Unfinished Business' and 'Sunset and Vine'. Mills's own engine was running smoothly again. He consequently set to writing tracks toward a rock opera with Trondheim writer Andreas Nergard whilst touring Europe with TNT.

Celebration City Life Classy Gatherings Club. The Sound of Siam: Leftfield Luk Thung, Jazz & Molam in Thailand 1964-1975. The former (lak thung) was an assembled hybrid whose sources could come from inside or outside, and did. When Thais began to move from rural eras to Bangkok, both styles exploded in a period of innovation and hybridization that swept the land and still rever berates today: rock, funk, Latin, Caribbean, African, blues, and jazz all played a role in the emerging popular styles of lak thung and molam.
Got it. + add. album. As Soundway’s entry point into the Asian music world, The Sound of Siam CD and double LP offers a unique vantage point to the most experimental period in Thai musical history. The 19 tracks reflect the outcome of a twentieth century journey from Thai classical to Luk Krung and Luk Thung – music that incorporated western influences such as jazz, surf guitar, ballroom and even Latin and African.
