Parlophone Records are proud to announce David Bowie Loving The Alien (1983 – 1988), the fourth in a series of box sets spanning his career from 1969. Among the studio and live albums from the period, the set will also contain an exclusive new production of the 1987 album Never Let Me Down, by Bowie producer/engineer Mario McNulty with new instrumentation by Bowie collaborators Reeves Gabrels, David Torn, Sterling Campbell and Tim Lefebvre. a collection of original remixes entitled ‘DANCE’ and the non-album/alternate version/b-sides and soundtrack music compilation RE:CALL 4. Exclusive to each of the box sets is ‘NEVER LET ME DOWN (2018)’, a new production of the 1987 album.
David Bowie is the self-titled debut studio album by English musician David Bowie, released on 1 June 1967, on Deram Records. Its style and content bears little overt resemblance to the type of music that he was later known for, such as the folk rock influenced "Space Oddity" or the glam rock of The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars.

Re:Call 4. Parlophone. In January 1983, Bowie signed a lucrative multi-album deal with EMI and hired Nile Rodgers to make him some hits. If still considered to be as major an artist as Fleetwood Mac or Michael Jackson, he was nowhere in their league in terms of units shifted. So the massive global success of Let’s Dance was no fluke-the album was planned as intricately as a troop landing or royal wedding.
