Produced by Bob Marley & The Wailers. Waiting in Vain Lyrics. I don't wanna wait in vain for your love; I don't wanna wait in vain for your love. From the very first time I rest my eyes on you, girl My heart says follow t'rough But I know, now, that I'm way down on your line But the waitin' feel is fine: So don't treat me like a puppet on a string Cause I know I how to do my thing Don't talk to me. as if you think I'm dumb; I wanna know when you're gonna come - soon

One Love is a reggae song by Bob Marley & The Wailers from their 1977 album Exodus. It was first recorded in a ska style by Marley’s original group, The Wailers in 1965 and was released as a single. In 1977, Bob Marley & the Wailers released the updated version on the Exodus album which became the definitive rendition and made in the UK. The song contains an interpretation of The Impressions‘ song People Get Ready written by Curtis Mayfield. The members of local band Zap Pow played as Bob Marley’s backup band before a festival crowd of 80,000, while members of The Wailers were still missing or in hiding, fearing they could be victims of similar attacks. His courageous performance was captured on video in its entirety. From the gritty footage, you can almost feel the tension in the air that night.
