Regulate Lyrics: Regulators. We regulate any stealin' of his property. We’re damn good too. But you can’t be any geek off the street. You gotta be handy with the steel, if you know what I mean. Chords, strings, we brings melody G-funk, where rhythm is life and life is rhythm. If you know like I know You don't wanna step to this It's the G-funk era, funked out with a gangsta twist If you smoke like I smoke Then you're high like everyday And if yo' ass is a busta, 213 will regulate. A storybook rap, marking the meeting point of old, early rap traditions with the gangsta -image being formulated at the time.

G Funk Era Explicit Lyrics. G Funk Era (20th Anniversary). While not every song is as memorable, Regulate boasts at least two hip-hop classics: The shuffle beat bliss "This Is the Shack," and the title cut, featuring Michael McDonald's icy keyboard lick and partner Nate Dogg's gorgeous singing, destined to be the standout single of the year. With an excessively tuneful, but not excessively violent or vulgur, debut, Warren . s future lies way beyond the shadow of his better known associates. Disc: 1. 2. Do You See. 3. Gangsta Sermon.

Reviews about Warren G - Regulate... G Funk Era (1):
Warren G's debut album is simply boomtastic. 19 years after its release, it still sounds as fresh as the day it was made. Lines like 'Rat-a-tat-tat, Dum-de-dum-dum' typify the simplistic yet deeply meaningful lyrics which abound on this recording. Is it possible to convey how utterly trivial the sound of automatic gunfire has become in fewer words? I don't think so. Yes, this is Rap from the top drawer, delivered in a musical package that hits you just as hard as the rhymes. The loops are dark, even sinister, and they come with a sub bass that could well have been sent straight from Hell. In parts it's very Dre...very Snoop...but ultimately it's very G. In both the Warren and the Gangsta senses. If you ever thought about upgrading your sound system, this record is definitely for you. It'll blow your existing system apart and give you the excuse you always needed to buy a better one!
