Debussy, Ravel - The Cleveland Quartet - Debussy: Quartet In G • Ravel: Quartet In F mp3 album
Maurice Ravel completed his String Quartet in F major in early April 1903 at the age of 28. It was premiered in Paris in March the following year. The work follows a four-movement classical structure: the opening movement, in sonata form, presents two themes that occur again later in the work; a playful scherzo second movement is followed by a lyrical slow movement. The finale reintroduces themes from the earlier movements and ends the work vigorously.

Debussy: Quartet In G Ma. .has been added to your Cart. When it came to some chamber works, there were times when I would prefer other ensembles over Cleveland, such as, Kodaly or Emerson, but this CD with the quartets by Debussy and Ravel would be something I would recommend. It seems VERY unlikely to me that whoever wants very fine renditions of these quartets would want to avoid this CD. If you have heard other versions of the quartets by Debussy and Ravel but not the Cleveland Quartet version, then give this CD a listen. One person found this helpful.
