No Age and Zach Hill - Flannel Graduate mp3 album
The Sacramento, California art space Fools Foundation ran an exhibition of Hill's art, titled "Poltergeist", from April 1 to 29 in 2006. with No Age – Flannel Graduate CD-R (2007, self-released). Them Hills – Greener Grassing CD-R (August 14, 2007, self-released). with Ben Weinman – Untitled Digital (August 31, 2007, self-released).
No Age and Zach Hill collaborated for a Japan tour CD-R that sold out quickly and consists of a 22-minute long session cleverly cut into three tracks with the first two totaling about twenty seconds. For those who like to rock, there are drums. For those who like to riff, there are guitars. For those who like to texturize, there is plenty of wanking, and maybe a dollop of bullshit.

Based out of Sacramento, California, drummer Zach Hill is best known as half of the adventurous indie rock group Hella, but he has also spent time in Twiggy Ramirez and Chris Goss' project Goon Moon, the experimental supergroup Nervous Cop, and the Ladies with Pinback's Rob Crow, and he often collaborates with guitarist Mick Barr. After more collaborations (with Marnie Stern, No Age, Prefuse 73, and Wavves, to name a few), Hill released his second solo album, 2010's Face Tat. In 2011, he started the experimental hip-hop group Death Grips with keyboardist Andy Morin and vocalist Stefan Burnett, and the act became Hill's top priority over the next few years.
Background information. Zachary Charles Hill. 1979-12-28) December 28, 1979 (age 39) Sacramento, California, United States. A photograph of Hill drumming by Irish photographer Deirdre O'Callaghan is included in her photo album book The Drum Thing (2016), which also features pictures of Ringo Starr, Lars Ulrich, Jack White, Pauli Lovejoy, and Travis Barker ; she recalled when taking the photo, "He doesn't like getting his photo taken, but when he plays he just goes into that.
Hella drummer enlists No Age, members of LCD Soundsystem, Marnie Stern, and Les Claypool for his solo debut, which features hints of Liars tribalism, Boredoms bombast, Smell-scene art-punk, Lightning Bolt repeti-grooves, and Frank Zappa prog-overload. And though he employs many collaborators on Astrological Straits (including members of No Age, LCD Soundsystem, and his Hella colleagues), the album can feel like one endless drum solo. Hill's torrential beats roll over everything else- even his own voice and guitar- puncturing each song like bullets fired into a balloon. Whether that's good or bad depends on your tolerance for skull-crushing polyrhythms. But even the most gun-shy listener should find something to dig in Hill's frantic beat-marathons.
