Finally, did you ever expect "Mouth the Mouth" to be the absolutely gargantuan, era defining record it became? I made it in 2005 amongst a slew of other songs, and I remember playing it in it's entirety and thinking it was special. So I slowly gave it out to some friends and it was apparent that something big was happening. In the moment I was just jamming and I felt like I had a good groove going, but you don't know how it's going to resonate with other people. You can't predict that. It's all about translating experience.

Wow, instantly fell in love with mouth to mouth. What a tune ♥️
Fast Lovebird
I just discovered it again in my collection, what a tune! It's been 9 years now since I bought this and still love this.
Light out of Fildon
Mouth To Mouth = SIMPLICITY. 2 notes, a minimal bass kick and some builds over and over. This is DANCE MUSIC.A true classic. Shut up haters !
Everytime people get divided in their opinions to totally plus versus minus you have a good indication for experiencing something special. And this EP is truly a unique character and a hell of a record. For me Hot Air does the trick best. You may call it simple and easy. But this isn’t a bad sign. Most Songs on Radio are relatively easy. That’s one reason why people like them. The genius is to take that simplicity to maximum efficiency which Matthew Dear did here. It’s outstanding. Between all these 1000‘s of uncharacteristic tracks in this world there are gems like this. You will always identify it right away after the first beats. Give this record some love.
Mouth to Mouth reminds me of jumping off a diving board again and again. Not exactly the most sophisticated way to entertain yourself, but still really entertaining.
Hahahahaha this really gave me a good laugh ^^^ :0)
Mouth to Mouth just doesn't do it for me, it has superb sound design maybe but it's arrangement is too mediocre for a typical 6 minute track, let alone a 12:54 one !!! I definitely agree with the other guy that the b-side here is much more interesting, actually has something going/evolving in a minimal techno sort of style, still no cake though, but pretty good. As for the A-side, maybe it works in warehouse type enviornments or really slowed down druggy environments, I can see it work well there, but I won't suggest it for home listening. Anyway I only rate 4 stars because of the sound design and inspiration this EP gives due to its originality.
I changed my mind, I enjoy this track immensely now
Good track, thanks for the suggestion, I loved the original and Cirez D, but I've never heard of your remix, will check it out.
i prefer the (Nihad Tule remix) Chistian Smith & John Selway - Total departure (Nihad Tule remix)

Hi! Try to mix it up with http://www.discogs.com/Christian-Smith-John-Selway-Total-Departure/master/93574That may sound pretty nice!Greetz from Germany
Had to add my bit here- Time has moved on, but Matthew Dear is one talented soul. Thinking back to 2006, when first hearing this as it worked best- A very large warehouse stacked full of ravers- I see it in a different light to some reviews here. It might not do a lot as some put it, but its what it does, and what it doesn't do, that make this a demon of an intelligent production. Holding back the angst & teasing the crowd, this will rinse you out layer by layer & leave you dumbfounded. Its nothing short of a monster, and while not being something some would play right now, its one for the vault- a record you really should own if you appreciate creativity. A standout burning disco devil & complete insanity. Evil genius.
amen !!!!! I've heard this smashed out in the right environment a few times !!!! oh and is it a beast !!!!!
Audion - Mouth To Mouth sample disco classic Gino Soccio - Dancer
Damn it. first time I play this A side hymn at 45 rpm and it still is boring. This may be good at a dance with large speakers and then for 5 minutes or so, but for homelisiening ?At 33 rpm the groove is even more accessible, but then that a side tune goes on forever..Funny thing they never write infos like that on the records..LOL..The b side is more interesting rhytmically and obviousely made for playng at 45 RPM. But te hit is on the looooong A Side
Well what can be said about such a genious piece of vinyl without using too much superlatives? Without doubt this will be - or already is - one of the super hits of the year 2006. Those "lasergun-sounds" really drive you crazy on the floor. they don't appear once, no they're coming again and again, and the bassdrum always kicks in when you don't quite expect it, but when it's the fucking best moment to do so. Genious piece of work!
