The Officers' Training Corps (OTC), more fully called the University Officers' Training Corps (UOTC), are military leadership training units similar to a university club but operated by the British Army. Their focus is to develop the leadership abilities of their members whilst giving them an opportunity to take part in military life whilst at university. Glasgow and Strathclyde Universities Officer Training Corps (GSUOTC) is one of nineteen University Officer Training Corps in the United Kingdom and one of four in Scotland, drawing recruits from higher education institutions in and around the city of Glasgow and the wider Strathclyde region in west-central Scotland.

The Universities agreed to change the composition of the Committee in 1978 to give the University of Strathclyde parity of membership.
