Hot Damn! is the second studio album by American metalcore band Every Time I Die. In mid-December 2002, it was announced that the band had booked time to record their next album in February 2003, with the aim of releasing it in June. Recording took place at Trax East studios in South River, New Jersey with producer Eric Rachel. On February 13, it was announced that drums had been tracked and that progress on guitars was underway.

Buffalo's Southern-flavored metalcore pros Every Time I Die are back on Friday with Low Teens, their eighth studio album since debuting in 2001 with Last Night in Town. Frontman Keith Buckley had to walk through hell to get here, with his wife and unborn daughter hospitalized last December during a life-threatening pregnancy complication, followed by his first endeavor in sobriety and a crash course in writing truly personal lyrics for the first time ever. With more words in the combined track titles (36) than the running time of the album (nearly 34 minutes), ETiD’s 2001 debut album followed on from the wonderful chaos of their The Burial Plot Bidding War EP with some quite eloquent metalcore noise. Bassist Aaron Radaczyk replaced McCarthy prior to recording Every Time I Die's first full-length effort, Last Night in Town, issued via Ferret Records in the spring of 2001. The band supported the album on tour with Killswitch Engage, and in the summer of 2002 joined the annual Warped Tour. Another bassist swap brought on Steven Micciche, who joined Every Time I Die in time for their 2003 sophomore effort, Hot Damn!, as well as a . tour in support of Jackass alum Steve-O . Every Time I Die called on former bassist Steven Micciche to fill in, and the following year they released their sixth album, Ex-Lives.
