Stop the Clocks is a compilation album by the English rock band Oasis, released on 20 November 2006. The "retrospective collection" is an 18-track double album with the featured songs chosen by Noel Gallagher; however, it does not actually include their song "Stop the Clocks" after which the album is named. It went 5 Platinum in the United Kingdom, with sales better than any Oasis release since Be Here Now.

Stop the Clocks largely proves what fans already know: Oasis were at their best when they were coming up from the bottom. Their 1994-95 ascendancy fittingly provides the retrospective with nearly 80% of its material. Both Definitely Maybe and (What's the Story) Morning Glory? are represented with five tracks a piece, while four B-sides from the era also appear. While that infamously excessive LP was a clear step down from previous heights, it's also more ambitious and tuneful than any album they've released since. Tracks like the crushing, murky epic "D'You Know What I Mean", swelling heartbreaker "Don't Go Away" or underrated burner "I Hope, I Think, I Know" blow away Stop the Clocks skippables like "Lyla" and "Go Let It Out".

Jake806 January 4th 08. This album is the culmination of all of Oasis's best work. The set comes with two discs of Oasis goodness, covering all of their best songs form Don't Look Back in Anger to The Importance of Being Idle. I would not recommend this album for someone who already owns a lot of Oasis. The movie extras are cool, but nothing that can't really be found on youtube.
