Ozzy Osbourne - Definitive Tribute mp3 album

Tribute is a live album by heavy metal vocalist Ozzy Osbourne, featuring his work with hard rock guitarist Randy Rhoads, in whose honor the album was released. The album was released on 19 March 1987, five years after the death of Rhoads, then it was reissued on 22 August 1995, and again remastered and reissued in 2002. It peaked at number 6 on the US Billboard 200 chart.

By 1981, Ozzy Osbourne’s career was back in full swing. Anyone who thought he was down for the count with his firing from Black Sabbath was quickly proven wrong with the arrival of his first post-Black Sabbath album, Blizzard of Ozz, and by the subsequent live shows. Former Quiet Riot guitarist Randy Rhoads had become the person Osbourne so heavily needed to give his songs that extra edge and help his post-Sabbath work to stand out from the crowd

This live double album, recorded in 1981 but not released until five years after Randy Rhoads' death, showcases a hard rock guitarist whose all-around ability was arguably second only to Eddie Van Halen. Osbourne leads his best band lineup through the entire Blizzard repertoire, plus a few Diary and Sabbath numbers.

Ozzy Osbourne's guitarist Randy Rhoads was a technical genius on his instrument, but that's only half the story. Rhoads shaped the direction of Osbourne's first two post-Sabbath recordings, Diary of a Madman and Blizzard of Ozz, which still stand as his best solo studio albums. Rhoads also was capable of pulling the best out of Osbourne onstage, a notable accomplishment in itself. This live set was released five years after Rhoads's death in a bizarre plane accident, and it's still a striking reminder of what was lost. This particular album is ozzys tribute his late performer and guitatarist Randy Rhodes and its really great. 3 people found this helpful.

A live album dedicated to Randy Rhoads, Tribute is an excellent testament to the guitarist's prodigious talents, which ranged from stupefyingly fluid ribboning and mind-bending metal guitar antics to startling gentleness, evidenced by the acoustic instrumental "Dee," which he wrote for his mother.
