Graham Parker (born 18 November 1950, Hackney, East London) is an English singer-songwriter, who is best known as the lead singer of the British band Graham Parker & the Rumour. Parker was born in Hackney, East London in 1950. He was a pupil at Chobham Secondary Modern School in Surrey. After the arrival of the Beatles, Parker and some other 12/13 year olds formed the Deepcut Three, soon renamed the Black Rockers.

In the three short years Graham Parker and his band, the Rumour, were signed to Vertigo Records, they released some of the best, most uplifting records to emerge at the time of the British New Wave scene. In 2011, the original line-up reunited after a 32-year break, to record a new album and continue to tour. All of their must-have recordings from the period 1976-1979 can be found in this collection. This release has been compiled with the help of Graham Parker and Martin Belmont of the Rumour. Features all the singles from the Vertigo/Mercury Records years, including the chart hits 'Hey.
